I’m the envy of many children. I have more brick than most of the kids my family brings over. They know it’s in the house. They know where. They know they can’t touch. I buy it I get to play with it. I do have an assortment of brick purchased from garage sales that I let them use. Minifigs are the basic city ones that I have a bunch of. But that’s not the problem. ↓ Read the rest of this entry…

Hi my name is Siabur (cyber), and I am a LEGO-Holic! Now I’ve known I have had a problem for a few years now. I’ve also known that it’s my addiction, there are several forums where in my sig is “LEGO is my addictions of choice, can you please spare a brick?” I’ve been spending a lot of time recently attempting to organize my storage and building space. It’s limited simply because I have to share it. I get half of the room, and the other person gets the rest. Recently we have begun to merge spaces. My stuff in hers, hers in mine. And I also had no idea what I had or where it was at. ↓ Read the rest of this entry…

One of the most common questions is how do I make Genuine Draft. With LEGO® Brand Bricks is a common answer, but really it’s a bit more technicle than that. This is the basic of how I create Genuine Draft.

For starters I use Macs running Adobe Creative Suite 2, a Wacom Graphire 4 tablet, and a Samsung Digital point and shoot camera. I also use the cheapest spiral notebooks I can find, Wal-Mart durring back to school season is a great place to get many supplies.

First I start off by plotting out the story. Sometimes it’s a paragraph or more detailed outline. Scripting comes next. Then I build the set or use an existing one. Film it using a Samsung 7.2 megapixel camera with the macro setting turned on and the flash off. Import the pics to the computer and go from there to the detailed pictures. ↓ Read the rest of this entry…

I’ve decided to break from the regular format of Genuine Draft and feature the weekend single panel comics all week long. So starting on Saturday August 14th and running through Sunday August 22nd.

What’s the reason behind all of this? Well it’s simple really. I am working on a new storyline and it’s taken longer than expected to write. The sets have been built for a while now, just getting the details right is taking the most time. So enjoy Single Draft for the next week, then it will resume it’s Saturday and Sunday updates.

The BCN is here to announce our next contest! Build a vehicle for the series 2 collectable minifigs. The new collectable minifigs are cool but they need something to get around in. Your task is to build them a vehicle, any kind of vehicle as long as it represents the minifig. For offical rules and entry information go here. Prizes will be the minifig themselves, and more to be announced later.

You don’t need to have a Series 2 Minifig to enter.

One of my favorite comics I read is called, “How Sweet It Is” by Scott A. Jenkins, known better by Jynksie. Durring a break in sorting the lego, at the time sorting the greebles and misc technic stuff which are a bunch of small stuff which is really boring a pain really. Anywhoo. I was moving around the 7079 Drawbridge Defense ↓ Read the rest of this entry…

I was looking for things to do a gallery in WordPress. Then I was on Frumph.net seeing if Phil was around to offer suggestions. He wasn’t there on his chat. For those who use ComicPress, Phil (frumph) is one of the developers and is really helpful in getting things going. He helped me when I messed up the site. So searching around his site I came across an article about using the Gallery built into WordPress. So I tried the gallery and was impressed with how it works. Played with it and will be using it quite a bit. ↓ Read the rest of this entry…

I’ve been a good boy by not buying a bunch of LEGO. I pick up sets here and there, mostly the $10 minifig builder type of sets. Then I hit the stores with money in hand and an urge to quell. Also known as my addiction. I haven’t bought a bunch of large sets. Then I found Prince of Persia No.7573 The Battle of Alamut on sale for $59 at Toys R Us. I was in Ft.Collins Colorado on my way to meet David Adams from Slightly Off Topic comic, for dinner while he was in the state. So it was a good day. ↓ Read the rest of this entry…
