The dumpster was actually kinda hard to build. I was thinking of the orange one on the right side, it’s from the 2007 Advent Calender, but couldn’t find it when building the set so I built one my self that was specifically made to hold a minifig and could be looked into easily. Of course now you’ve probably figured out who is in the dumpster.

One thing I’ve noticed when building sets is that they are rather boring once the basics are completed. What makes them look interesting and good is the “dressing”. A term that means the stuff in the set. Trash cans, cars, other props. The garage where Bob built his car is an example of this, boring set until all the stuff is put in to it.

Violet Nuescastar, the local reporter was created for the comic. Other news people were used in older stories so I made a new one for GD. Every alley also needs a rat. It came in a set I got for Christmas.

Rimminion doesn’t have a true freedom of the press. There are no “live” broadcasts incase the state needs to edit anything. Rimminion is a millitary based government with 3 houses. Civilian, Millitary, Royal. The president is elected via the 3 houses, if the millitary doesn’t like how things are going, they will call for a new one.

A mysterious past for Jessica. What can it be? Leave a comment and see if you are correct later on.

I will let out a spoiler here. Violet and Jessica are friends and have been for a long time. Now if you haven’t noticed, the camera that was confiscated has dissapeared. Wonder what I did with it.

When I was putting the set together and was getting ready to film, I added the scenes with Violet and several after this one. One thing I noticed was how clean the alley was. Why, so I came up with the senario of why it was clean. Worked out well if you ask me.

I guess even those who aren’t involved with someone may take something the wrong way. And then hit back about their preferences.

Hmmm. Something’s going on with those in power. Of course if you’ve been reading for a while you would know this.

Finally got around to moving the plot along. A nice thing about a daily comic is the ability to add more character history without worrying too much about how far apart the updates are and how slow things are moving.

Well what happens when things are cleaned and the evidence is gone? And who would want this to be known? Oh, wait, you know the answers.

Jessica has a lot of friends who are in high places. Why? Now this is something you don’t know yet. Something I learned about the camera I use is how well it takes pictures in low light settings. These alley pics were actually very dark. The camera has a feature that takes a bit longer to capture the picture and the result is a photo with more light. Nice thing but ruined the original atmospere I wanted. I didn’t like any of the Photoshop effects to darken it. I was down to my last completed strip and needed to get these done and was getting frustrated at trying to get what I wanted so I left them natural.

Wrap her up and get her outta here. I liked the way the alley scenes turned out. It was so much fun to actually shoot in such a large set. Time to strike it and build something new.

And here we have the morgue. Was actually not real easy to build. I didn’t have all the parts I wanted to use. So I improvised and got something I like. Now the wall behind the flame in the background and the wall on the left side are the other side of the alley. If you go back you can kind of see how they look. Eventually there will be a behind the scenes look and you can get to see the sets the way I do.
