Genuine Draft: Year 1

Strip # 238 Updated On 6/8/09 One of the most annoying things I subject servers too is the line Bob says, “If you don’t believe me, just ask me.” It means, this is my story and I’m going to stick to it no matter how many times you ask. It’s something I heard from a guy I worked with nearly 20 years ago.

Strip # 239 Updated On 6/9/09 Ok, seriously, if your girlfriend was a hot purple haired alienish type and you’ve done it alot, you’d tell anyone who asked. The line wrote it self. I just typed it.

Strip # 240 Updated On 6/10/09 My vision of Solomeade in Bob’s natural reality is a small country whom is agriculture based and wants to be a big bad ass nation but can’t, so they torment those of other nations.

Strip # 241 Updated On 6/11/09 Oh, I just noticed I took off Bob’s sunglasses. I may use this head more often, there are new heads with expressions that I’d like to use more but they don’t have the same sunglasses Bob wears. I also tweeked a character digitally for the first time. I don’t count Tyler’s purple hair cuz that’s just a necessity. Reader needed to show a little more emotion than his standard fig allows.

Strip # 242 Updated On 6/12/09 For a simple strip it took alot to make it work. For one thing, I forgot how to do masks in Photoshop and just cut out the parts I needed. I hate when that happens.

Strip # 243 Updated On 6/13/09 I like the first panel alot. Just wish I would have noticed Solo wasn’t facing Reader more. And there is a reason it’s called CPEO, no it’s not a tribute to a gold droid I don’t have in LEGO™ form either, if you want to send me one, my email’s on the About page.

Strip # 244 Updated On 6/14/09 See I told you it wasn’t a certain gold droid. I love really long complex names for things. The CPEO’s description in the scripts and plot was something that technobabbly. I used a thesaurus to come up with the name. It’s up to you to figure out what I was going for. But there’s another name, the Element. Simple, for a reason.

Strip # 245 Updated On 6/15/09 The Pudari are one of the oldest creations I have, well created. It was something I used to doodle in elementary school, late 70’s early 80’s (yeah, that long ago). Epic battles between the Pud’s and Zuckus. An old friend reinvented for my comic. I wonder if I have any pics left somewhere. They would be in the Garfield folder. I may put them up in the Behind The Scenes section.

Strip # 246 Updated On 6/16/09 I changed the font size by 2 points. If there are any problems, let me know. This set was simple. Black baseplate with an 8 brick high wall behind her. Then there is that problem of filming on black. But I learned to make sure I was in black to film and fixed the damn reflection issues. Oh, and if you notice, her hair isn’t digitally colored. It’s really purple. I bought a few of the long grey hair pieces and painted one with a nice purple spray paint. Turned out great in my opinion. I’ve begun to buy cheap hair and color paint them.

Strip # 247 Updated On 6/17/09 Now this set is a modified version of the previous strip. They were filmed a few weeks apart, due to the script wasn’t written yet. It’s slightly bigger and I have some black moveable walls to allow for different angles. I also busted out my new Clonetroopers.

Strip # 248 Updated On 6/18/09 They definately see her as a threat don’t they. Chaining a little girl to a gurney just to bring her in for some conversation. And of course you need heavy force. Stormtrooper, and both versions of clonetroopers make up my 3rd largest millitary faction. Right behind my Castle armies of crownies and skellies with the trolls boosting their numbers.

Strip # 249 Updated On 6/19/09 When? Where? WTF? I’ve written this and sometimes I get lost. At least it’s not like trying to figure out what the hell is going on in Reasonably Clever’s Brick House. Just wait until we get to the 300’s.

Strip # 250 Updated On 6/20/09 It’s nice to know that you pay attention when someone says they “Do it alot.” like Bob did, you have a tool to use incase the fancy equipment doesn’t work. The Reader’s sentence in the last panel was rewritten several times for space in the panel and just to make it make sense. I wonder how many other comickers edit while assembling their comics.

Strip # 251 Updated On 6/21/09
The Zuchai are the guys with the funny manga style hair. They really haven't been seen in the other world where Tyler and Bob are from. This was by choice, a big story will be revealed sometime by the end of 2009 or begining of 2010. If I haven't mentioned it yet, doesn't Tyler's hair have the nicest shade of purple?
